I am an award-winning director, screenwriter, and producer. My feature debut, Hayseed, won the audience award at Another Hole in the Head Film Festival for BEST MYSTERY. My screenplay, Dirty Hands, was selected as a finalist in the New Orleans Film Festival 2019 Screenplay Competition. Also, Dirty Hands was a top ten finalist in the 2019 Stage32 "New Blood" competition. The Terrestrial, another screenplay, is a semifinalist in the Shore Script competition. My latest film, Hayseed, was Second Rounder at the 2020 Austin Film Festival and was a finalist at the 2020 Rhode Island International and 2021 Atlanta Film Festivals.
I joined Coalition Films in 2010, serving as a creative executive through 2017. I traveled with director Jeremy Xido (Cabula6) and Coalition Films to Angola to produce the feature-length documentary Death Metal Angola. The film first gained attention at DOC NYC, New York's premier documentary festival. It went on to play over 60 festivals all around the globe, including Dubai, Rotterdam, Buenos Aires, Sydney, Seoul, and the Palmer Reacher Station in Antarctica. The Vladar Company acquired Death Metal Angola, and it had a theatrical release in New York and Los Angeles.
I co-produced The Preppie Connection, which premiered at the Hamptons International Film Festival and screened at the Mill Valley and Middleburg Film Festivals. IFC Films released it. The film was successful in recouping its investment.
I was an associate producer for CliffsNotes Films, an interactive series of animated short films based on the CliffsNotes study guides—Mark Burnett (Survivor, Shark Tank) produced the series. CliffsNotes received nominations for Best Animated Web Series and Best Interactive Social Media Experience at IAWTV Awards and Best Branded Entertainment at The Streamy's.
For nearly ten years, I worked with the tremendously talented screenwriters Ashley Rudden and Joseph Castelo, honing my skills as a writer. Together, we wrote UPSTATE, a crime-thriller that Park Pictures optioned.
I live in Brooklyn, New York, with my wife, Melissa, and our twin sons.
